Involuntary Refunds (If BA cancels you flight).

General Refund Conditions
Non-refundable tickets can't be cancelled. The amount of a refund for non-refundable tickets is only subject to the fees or taxes that were refundable. An exception may be made if the cancellation was due to events beyond our control. In this case, you could be issued a travel coupon for future travel.
All refunds are subject to the fare rules & conditions applicable to your booking.

British Airways Cancellation Policies for Specific Travel Dates
You can cancel the following flights by using a travel voucher that is valid through April 30, 2025.
For travel by February 28, 2024, tickets booked prior to March 3, 2024 must be redeemed before March 3, 2024.
Tickets for travel beyond April 30, 2024 are available on or after March 3, 2024

British Airways Cancellation Policy for Death or Severe Illness
British Airways cancels flights dues to severe illness (or the death of a family member):
Documentation must be presented by the passenger to prove illness (medical certificate), or death (death certificate).
In case of illness, the validity period of the ticket may be extended.
In the case of death, the ticket's validity can be extended for no more that 45 days.

British Airways compensation policy applies for flights from/to any European Union airport, and in some instances to flights that land in countries outside the European Union.
You will be entitled for compensation if your flight is delayed by more then 3 hours, but it could have been prevented by the airline.
EUR250 when your flight is under 1500 km
EUR400 if you fly within the EU for more than 1500km
EUR 400 for flights between 1500-3500km.
EUR600 for flights that are not included in the above list (i.e., over 3500km).
Compensation will not be given if an alternative flight is offered to you with the following departure and arriving times:
BA informs you 7-13 days before departure that your flight has been cancelled. The new flight departs at least 2 hours earlier than the original departure times and lands at the final destination no later then 4 hours after the original arrival.
BA will notify you of cancellation n at least 7 days before departure. If your new flight departs no less than 1 hour prior to your original departure time, it will land at your final destination no longer than 2 hours later than your original arrival time.
Note. BA will reduce the compensation by 50%. Your new flight's departure time at the destination airport does not exceed your original flight arrival time.
